I am happy to share I have earned the Chief AI Officer Certification from Copenhagen Compliance, Global AI, GRC and GDPR Solutions through a couple of long nights but filled with great information, use cases and in-class learnings from Prof. Hernan Huwyler, MBA CPA and Kersi Porbunderwala. The opportunity to learn through this class will allow me to bring these skills forward and continue my learning in how to align AI, Privacy, and GRC into a working yet safe environment.
It was an intense three days of learning, capped off by three exams. The program provided a great opportunity to connect with professionals from around the world and dive deep into real-world AI governance, including some healthy debates on real-life AI use cases. The best part of the course was how practical it all was. It wasn't just theory; they provided real tools and frameworks that I can adapt and bring back to my work immediately.
The workshop equipped me with invaluable tools—spreadsheets, guides, checklists, concepts, and even AI models ready to use in Python and test various scenarios and use cases—that will help me navigate the complexities of AI, from understanding challenges and requirements to ensuring compliance frameworks.
The CAIO certification class from Copenhagen Compliance, Global GRC, and GDPR Solutions has been an incredible experience. The practical templates (SLA, procurement contracts, risk assessment), the case studies for discussion, and the wealth of knowledge and experiences make it $ and time well spent.
I have posted about this training previously and how good and intensive it is. As a "certified" CAIO you are not just a retitled position inheriting a cluster #$%. As you can see, I do have experience in this lane (and a lot other lanes on this cyber highway) and this is one training that really stands out!!

I'll admit that I'm usually skeptical about certifications, but I took this course to find my blind spots and stay current with emerging AI risks, regulations, and governance strategies. As it turns out, this is one of the most practical and insightful courses I've taken, led by Kersi Porbunderwala, Evan Benjamin, and Prof. Hernan Huwyler, MBA CPA.

New milestone unlocked: Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO®)
I proudly announce that I am certified as a Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO®) from Copenhagen Compliance, Global AI, GRC and GDPR Solutions.
It is another milestone in my digital transformation journey, building towards a 2.0 version of myself.
It was a three-day intense, packed with knowledge bootcamp, including:
– 30 hours totally of ongoing lecturing and hands-on use cases
– Keynote speakers in the likes of Prof. Hernan Huwyler, MBA CPA and Sam De Silva
– 3 hours of multiple-choice exams
– A vast toolkit on AI governance and strategic planning
Exiting this experience, I must admit wholeheartedly that this certification was the BEST hands-on process I have experienced up until now on the nascent #AIGovernance field.

I’m excited to share that I just completed the 3-Day CAIO (Certified Artificial Intelligence Officer) Training held in Lagos this week.
It was a real privilege to be part of the very first CAIO certification training in Nigeria and across Africa.
The training provided deep insights into AI fundamentals, AI in business, AI strategy, AI governance, ethical risk management, responsible AI deployment, regulatory alignment, and practical frameworks for implementing AI strategically within organisations.
One of my favourite takeaways from the program: “AI will optimize your responsibility — and amplify your irresponsibility.”
Last week, I stepped into a room in Lagos with a simple expectation: learn more about Artificial Intelligence.
What unfolded was far more profound. Every session peeled back another layer of what it truly means to guide AI at an enterprise scale — responsibly, strategically, and with governance at the core.
Walking out of this programme, I’m not just inspired; I’m prepared. Prepared to design better AI strategies. Prepared to build safer systems. Prepared to shape conversations around responsible AI adoption.
The 3-day power-packed training provided a comprehensive understanding of AI fundamentals, AI in business, AI strategy, AI ethics, AI models, AI architecture, AI frameworks, AI adoption, AI governance, AI risk, and AI compliance.
Each session was relatable through clear illustrations and practical case studies that brought every concept to life.
I am excited to apply these learnings to support ethical AI adoption, strengthen governance practices, and ensure value delivery.
This wasn't a standard seminar. It was a hands-on workshop with interactive conversations and a smooth mix of onsite and virtual participation.
Over two days, the program offered a clear and practical path into AI governance, covering risk management, legal and ethical considerations, and safeguards.
The experience closed with a final exam and peer feedback, reinforcing a mindset of action-oriented leadership in ethical and strategic AI governance.

The GDPR training was very well organised well run and informative 3-day session. As well as the formal GDPR certification, we were able to explore in detail GDPR, data privacy & IT security topics.
